Thyroid Health At-Home Test Kit

$134.00

This specialized panel will let you know if your thyroid is operating properly by testing 3 key thyroid hormones plus thyroid peroxidase antibodies. Medical experts say there can be a link between hypothyroidism and infertility in women. Close monitoring of your thyroid hormone level during pregnancy can promote normal fetal development and reduce the risk of miscarriage.

Method:

Simple finger prick blood card collection

What does it test for?

TSH, FT3, FT4, TPOab

TSH: The Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone signals the thyroid gland to make hormones that control the metabolism. Testing your TSH level can reveal if your thyroid gland is functioning normally. Abnormalities in thyroid function and hyperprolactinemia are well-known causes of infertility.

FT3: T3 (Triiodothyronine) is one of two major hormones made by your thyroid and plays an important role in controlling your weight, body temperature, muscle strength, and nervous system. A T3 test is most often used to diagnose hyperthyroidism, a condition in which the body makes too much thyroid hormone.

FT4: T4 (Thyroxine) is the main hormone produced by the thyroid gland. A FT4 test provides a good indication of how your thyroid gland is working and medical experts believe this test provides more accurate information than a total T4 test. The finding of an elevated TSH and low FT4 indicates primary hypothyroidism due to disease in the thyroid gland. A low TSH and low FT4 or FTI indicates hypothyroidism due to a problem involving the pituitary gland. A low TSH with an elevated FT4 is found in individuals who have hyperthyroidism.

TPOab: This test detects antibodies against Thyroid Peroxidase (TPO) in the blood. The presence of TPO antibodies in your blood suggests that the cause of a person’s thyroid disease is an autoimmune disorder, such as Hashimoto's disease or Graves' disease.

A portion of our revenue from each test will be donated to fertility research and support.
